When you download and launch the App, we may collect necessary operational data, including your Internet Protocol (IP) address, device operating system version, in-app paths, and session duration. To recommend routes and improve connection quality, we may process approximate location information. This data is used for: 1. Geolocation services: recommending suitable routes based on Haiou VPN's node distribution; 2. Performance optimization: identifying regional connection trends through anonymized aggregate data; 3. Service communication: sending important updates, security notices, or service messages via your registered email or username.

We only transmit aggregated anonymized data to necessary third-party partners, such as Google Play Services and Firebase, for crash analysis, performance monitoring, and feature improvement. Except in the following cases, we do not share personal information with third parties: 1. Compliance with legal process or regulatory requirements; 2. Protection of user life, property, or investigation of fraud; 3. Work with entrusted service providers under strict confidentiality obligations. To stop data collection, remove the App through your device uninstall process.

User-provided data is retained during the service period and for a reasonable grace period afterward. To cancel your account and delete your profile, contact our privacy team at [email protected]. The App is not intended for children under 13. If we discover that such information was collected by mistake, we will begin deletion procedures. Guardians may contact us through the same email for assistance.

Continued use after changes are published will be deemed acceptance of the revised terms. This policy takes effect on October 4, 2025.
